Two ten-minute videos with sound.
The exhibition presents the artistic research about the architectural heritage of Socialism in Cairo and Leipzig to critically discuss its current relevance in terms of common good oriented action, ecologically sustainable urbanism and the desire for a society that can interact equally. The two videos present a romantic image of socialist buildings through interviews with the residents. The scenes in Germany show the housing complex at Dorotheenplatz in Leipzig, while the scenes from Egypt feature the Mohandessin district in Cairo.
